Annual Crusader Fundraiser
Beginning in the year 2002 with Cal Thomas as keynote speaker, this annual dessert banquet draws about 1000 people to the Spokane Convention Center each Fall. The event showcases the students and faculty of NWCS, honors our history, supports the annual operating budget, and lifts up the Lord Jesus Christ. Spring Dinner Auction
Each year, the auction benefits special projects unable to be funded through the operating budget. In recent years, technology-related projects have been the focus, such as Smart Boards, class-room computers, multi-media equipment. Businesses and school family members are encouraged to donate and/or procure donations. Volunteer opportunities abound. Both the cause and the catered dinner draw "sell-out" crowds to this event. Gifts of Stock

Bequests
A beneficiary designation in your will or other estate plan is a simple way to leave a lasting legacy. Typically, a percentage of the estate is given to one or more charitable organizations. An existing will can be augmented with a codicil, which is very simple and inexpensive. Be sure to use the full name and city of location (e.g., Northwest Christian Schools, Inc., Colbert, Washington). More information and/or other planned giving options are available here.
Matching Gifts
Many companies will match the gifts of their employees, retirees, spouses or widow/widowers of retired employees, to Northwest Christian Schools. This is an effective way for you to double, and in some cases more than double the amount of your gift. Please contact the Human Resource Office of your company about their matching gift program.
Gifts "In Memory Of"
The Northwest Christian Schools Memorial Scholarship Fund provides an opportunity for anyone to give a lasting memorial by investing in the lives of students. Money given as a memorial gift will go to the scholarship endowments which provide much needed tuition dollars for NWC students in perpetuity. Gifts are acknowledged in the Crusader by donor name, with the designation "in memory of." Additionally, a letter of acknowledgement will be sent to the family in your name. Memorial gifts, together with applicable information, should be sent to Northwest Christian Schools, Development Department, 5104 E. Bernhill Road, Colbert, WA 99005.
Other Gift Designations
Donors may designate where they would like their gift(s) to be used. Designations should be in writing on the memo line of the check, or on an accompanying document. "Lew Button Scholarship" and "Fine Arts Endowment" are examples. More information about current endowment designations is available here. Honorary and memorial naming opportunities are available.
