The Extended Care Center (ECC) provides before and after school care for Pre-K through the 6th grade.   Students need to unwind after a long day at school.  This is what the ECC provides - a safe and supervised environment where children can come and have fun with their friends. 

Northwest Christian's Extended Care Center is open every day from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and is located at our Elementary Campus. (Map)  The fee for the ECC is $3.85/hour for the 1st student and $3.35/hour for each additional student with a minimum one hour charge.  There is an annual registration fee of $35.00. 

We provide crafts, snacks and games in a loving atmosphere.  Two student computers are available at all times to assist with homework or for students to play educational games.  A typical sunny day at the ECC includes playing basketball, running outside or sledding on the hill in the winter.  On cold rainy days, indoor fun choices range from playing one of our many board games or a game of pool with a friend to enjoying a G-rated movie with popcorn.   

The ECC is open on school days including all half days.  Field trips such as bowling, skating, walking to get ice cream or taking a private city bus to Riverfront Park are often planned on these half days. 

The ECC reflects the standards of Northwest Christian Schools while providing a valuable service to our school family parents.  The ECC staff love working with the children and are dedicated to the important part they play in serving the NWCS family.
