In addition to major fundraising events such as the Annual Crusader Fundraiser and the Auction, smaller fundraisers are held throughout the year to help offset the costs for classroom projects, trip expenditures, and other various needs which are not funded by the general budget. The following is a sample of some of the fundraisers that directly impact the classrooms:
See's Candy Sale
The Elementary Campus annual fund raiser is a See's candy sale each fall, usually at the end of September. The children sell candy bars to earn money for their classrooms. The school receives 50% of the profits and this profit goes directly to the teachers to purchase items for their classrooms. The items could include, but are not limited to, computers, air conditioners, books, special field trips or parties. Our See's candy sale has proven to be a great seller, and we have always profited greatly by the sale of this candy. We appreciate the time and effort of all NWCS families who have made this such a successful event.
Middle School Fundraisers
Northwest Christian's middle school students participate in an annual fall fundraiser. This fundraiser helps each of our middle school classes participate in field trips, educational and other activities, spirit days and items that are not funded by the general budget. Creative and exciting fundraisers are chosen each year. Past fundraisers have included a staff "Bless-a-Thon", Sally Foster products, and Entertainment Books.
Box Tops for Education
Northwest Christian Schools collects General Mills Box Tops for Education coupons. They are traded for points. The points are then used to purchase different items such as books, supplies, playground equipment and PE equipment. Each year we've earned approximately $700 through this program. We appreciate the enthusiastic support of students and parents who collect the coupons all year long. If you have coupons you would like to contribute to the school or have questions about this fund raiser, please contact the Elementary Campus at 328-4400.
