Northwest Christian Schools students from kindergarten through 5th grade will be gathering on Friday, September 18 at 7:30am to celebrate the summer reading and literacy development program “Pages for Pancakes.”

Students who completed the reading challenge will enjoy a pancake breakfast as their reward for a summer full of reading. Over the summer, they were encouraged to track their reading and create a visual display book report to share in the fall. For added fun, students have the opportunity to participate in a “dress as your favorite book character” contest, wearing their costume at the “Pages for Pancakes” reading celebration breakfast.

The program was designed to be a fun, exciting and engaging way for the students to expand their reading development and challenge them to learn in a creative way.
