Diane was born in 1939 in Aberdeen, Washington.  She moved to Spokane and at the age of 10, while playing the saxophone at the Union Gospel Mission, God laid it on her heart to be a missionary nurse.  After graduating from NWC, she attended Spokane Community College and later earned a PhD in Nursing Sciences from the University of Washington.  She taught nursing for Washington State University, trained students to care for the homeless on the streets of Spokane, and worked for physicians caring for Gypsies in Romanian Villages.  To read more about her life or to leave a message, please visit this website: https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/spokesman/obituary.aspx?pid=194149157
