CyberPatriot is the national high school cyber security competition hosted by the Air Force Association. This year, Northwest Christian had two teams compete in the CyberPatriot competition. One of our teams has finished in 1st place in state in the Gold Tier.

Our NWCS teams were put in the position of newly hired IT professionals tasked with managing the network of a small company. In the competition rounds, our teams were given a set of virtual images that represented operating systems. They were responsible for finding cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the images and hardening the system, while maintaining critical services.

Congratulations to all of NWCS competitors and good luck to team A in the regionals!

Team A: Jacob Atkins, Sammy Manina, Tyler Matheson, Jackson Eide, and Nick Ramey

Team B: Melissa Mantz, Will Grizzle, Dakota Jones, Misha Solodyankin

Thanks also to Coaches Kathy DeLaMatter, Joe Duenich and team mentor, Justin Trautman!
