Alumni Come Out On Top at Second Annual Alumni Softball Game

Players from past Northwest Christian softball teams joined together to play this year’s varsity softball team in a friendly game on May 11th. The alumni team, coached by Mattea Nelson (’18), won the contest but Northwest Christian Crusaders, coached by Ashlynn Smith, battled and were within reach of a win going into the bottom of the 7th inning. The NWCS softball team’s record was 16 – 2 going into this Second Annual Softball Alumni matchup. The girls compete in district play-off’s May 16-20 and hope to go to State at Gateway Sports Complex in Yakima, WA May 26-27. Go Crusader Softball!!!
