By Dr. Duane Grummons

paintintFormer elementary art teacher, Jack Rogers, is very gifted as an artist and mentor. God blessed him with exceptional talents in teaching and creating inspirational art pieces. Recently he was commissioned to create two paintings by a partnership of Dr. Duane and Trudy Grummons, former NWC parents and longtime supporters of the school, and Randy and Lisa Wright, parents of Joshua Wright (’12) who passed away just prior to his junior year.  These two significant art pieces are displayed in the NWC Lower Campus Library.

The first painting is of Josh and is dedicated to his memory. The second painting depicts NWC students drawing closer in relationship with Jesus Christ during their years at school.

Stop by the Lower Campus Library to sense the meaningfulness and emotion in each of these, and to appreciate the artistic talent of Mr. Rogers. What you leave behind is not engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.
