October has flown by and the preschoolers and staff have settled into the routine with their classes. Every month, the Early Learning preschoolers will focus on a different Bible memory verse. For the month of October students learned Psalm 100:5, “For the LORD is good: His loving kindness is everlasting.”  Through this verse children learned about all the wonderful and good things the Lord has done for them and how kind and loving He is to each and everyone of us. They also learned how important it is to show the love of God to others.

The Colbert Early Learning Program held their 3rdannual Trike-A-thon fundraiser on Friday, October 12th. God
provided us with the most beautiful fall day for the kids to be outside riding their trikes for donations. I was thankful for the parent volunteers who came early to set up and stayed late to clean up. We are also very grateful for the MS students who helped the preschoolers
navigate the riding course.

The Early Learning staff was blessed by many amazing preschool families who participated in both campus’ fundraising events and for all the donations sent in. The donations will be used for field trips and special items for the classrooms and playground.

As I walk through the classrooms at both campuses, I am amazed at the fun and creative things planned by our teachers. Students are using their senses in class touching and feeling items in their sensory tables from playdough, leaves and pumpkins to sand, beans and rice. The kids see a multitude of colorful things in their rooms and outside their windows. They are smelling and tasting new things during snack time and we can hear sounds of children laughing, singing and
peacefully napping! We have so much fun at preschool!

God has so many great things in store for our precious preschoolers! I can’t wait to see where this year leads us!
