Northwest Christian Schools and Saint George’s School will renew their rivalry on the basketball court on Friday, January 8th, with the 6th Annual “Battle of the Holy Grail” rivalry game at St. George’s School. The boys’ game starts at 6:00 p.m. with the girls’ game following at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Both schools bring a championship basketball legacy to the court for their spirited rivalry game, hoping to capture bragging rights and the Holy Grail Trophy — currently held by Northwest Christian after their win in 2015.

“The Battle for the Holy Grail” also encourages students to embrace a spirit of service to others. This year, both Northwest Christian and Saint George’s will support the Spokane Guilds’ School. It is an organization dedicated to helping babies and toddlers in Spokane County dealing with many different physical challenges. During the boys’ and girls’ basketball game, both Northwest Christian and St. George’s students will participate in a fundraiser competition for the Spokane Guilds’ School.

Embracing a patriotic theme for the event, the students will also vie for points for their school playing such games as human hungry hippos, penny races, and of course the infamous dance-off and lip-sync battle! Judging for the competition will be based on overall spirit and participation for the evening.
