It’s 1912, and there’s trouble in River City Iowa! Traveling salesmen are everywhere. One day, Professor Harold Hill arrives. His particular scheme involves pitching an elaborate musical con. First duped are the absent minded mayor, his wife, and the bickering school board members and their wives. Then Harold meets the lovely librarian, Marian Paroo, and her shy little brother named Winthrop. Will Harold leave with everyone’s swindled money, or will love win out by curtain’s fall?
