Recently, our talented art teacher, Mrs. Hagan, was commissioned by our NWCS Parent Service Organization (NWCS PSO) to create a colorful sensory obstacle course on the floor in our NWCS Lower Campus rotunda area. The sensory floor is designed to be a brain break for any student and provide a physical outlet for activity and learning, involving large and small muscles, coordination, and various components of strength and pressure. The floor was a HUGE hit on our campus and the students of all ages have enjoyed this new feature of our school! Learning which engages the brain through physical activity is shown to strengthen connection and foster overall well being and focus.

Thank you to NWCS PSO and Mrs. Hagan for their combined efforts!
