I work at the Union Gospel Mission, helping men and women become God-dependent, contributing members of society. Prior to that I spent 40 years coaching and training student athletes. Over our 45 years of marriage, my wife, Deborah, and I raised 3 wonderful children, all of whom attended NWCS. I have been involved with the school in some capacity since 1983 and am happy to serve the school as a member of the Board of Regents.

After earning a degree in Communications from Central Washington University, I began my career as a television news reporter and anchor in Kennewick. In 2000, I relocated to Spokane and joined NBC Camps full-time, where I currently serve as Senior Vice President. Over the years, I have coached youth sports at multiple levels—from elementary teams to college club programs—and I am presently the middle school boys’ basketball coach at NWCS. My wife, Amelia, has been a kindergarten teacher for more than 25 years, and we have three children who have attended Northwest Christian Schools. Our family is actively involved at North Church.

I have been serving Spokane as an independent financial advisor for over 30 years and am excited for this opportunity to serve NWCS as it has been a huge part of our family history. My wife, Kathi, taught for more than 15 years, most of those in a 6th grade classroom and our 3 wonderful children all attended NWCS.

After graduating from Whitworth and the Univ. of Idaho I worked in private and ministerial counseling and am currently a school counselor, as is my wife Kristen. We have three wonderful children, one who is now a NWCS Alum and two high schoolers. I feel blessed to bring my 30 years of professional experience to serve NWCS.

I serve as the founding President of Great Northern University, a Christian liberal arts institution in Spokane. A third-generation teacher and administrator, I am passionate about education, specifically Gospel-centered instruction and discipleship. I am honored to serve our God and His people in this role at NWCS.
Nate Meade
Chair Elect
Nate Meade is the lead pastor at North Church in Spokane, WA. Nate serves North Church as the primary Bible teacher, spiritual leader, and visionary. Nate is a licensed Foursquare pastor and holds a degree from Whitworth University in Organizational Management and a Masters degree from Life Pacific University in Theological Studies. Nate has been married to his beautiful wife, Chantel Meade, for 15 years. Chantel is a licensed Christian Counselor. They have two beautiful children, Grant and Aimee. Nate and Chantel love the Lord, the outdoors, being with family, serving the Church and Spokane together!

I have worked in ministry for over 15 years and currently serve as the Senior Director of Ministry & Operations at Crossover Church. My husband and I have 3 grown kids whose lives were enriched by their years at NWC's Homeschool program. I’m passionate about equipping people to live out their faith in Christ, so it's my privilege to give back a bit by serving with our amazing team on the board.

I am an alumni of NWCS and earned my B.A. in Business Administration from Whitworth University. I have spent my career in sales, marketing, and management, specializing in the growth and development of people and businesses. My wife Emily and I have two sons who attend Northwest Christian Elementary. I am very grateful for the impact NWCS has had on my life and now the lives of my young boys, and I care deeply about seeing that impact extended to others.
Shelbie Rabe

I have lived and worked in Spokane for the last 30 years. I am a banker by trade but passionate about helping NWCS provide a gospel – centered education. Our daughter attended NWC from K-12 and I love seeing the strong foundation this has provided her as she has moved into the adult world. I have been involved in different organizations in our community such as Spokane Hoopfest, Leadership Spokane, Joya, formally the Spokane Guild School. I feel that NWCS is needed here in our community and am happy to serve the school.

I am an OB/GYN at Northwest OB/GYN, practicing since 2008. I have 3 kids who have attended NWCS – two who are now NWCS alums. I like to run marathons and spend time with my family.
