Northwest Christian Schools is proud to name Madeline McKinney as their 2019-2020 Lilac candidate. Madeline (Maddie) underwent a rigorous interview in front of a judges’ panel and gave a speech titled “Destination Spokane” before being selected to represent NWCS. Maddie will now complete a 6-week training process prior to a selection interview on Saturday, February 15. NWCS is proud to have Madeline represent us in the Spokane Lilac Festival Royalty Program. Madeline Mae McKinney has happily attended Northwest Christian since kindergarten. She is a 4.0 student and a 3rd year National Honors Society member. She is a two-time state competitor, running for the cross-country team her freshman year and placing 4th in the 4 x 400 meter relay her sophomore year. She is involved with her community through her volunteer work, and is currently training to become the Media and Prayer Mobilization Coordinator of the Operation Christmas Child Spokane team. She enjoys powerlifting with her dad, curling up with a good book, and all things theater. She recently had the opportunity to portray Meg, the oldest sister and a lead role in NWC’s production of Little Women. She plans on attending Eastern Washington University this fall in order to pursue a career in speech language pathology.
