High school students and20151202_121923(0) their teacher, Lisa Greer, in NWC’s Home Living class delivered “PICC Pal” pillows to patients at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital on December 2. The pillows are meant to go between the child’s skin and their PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter line). The PICC is placed in their forearm to provide chemo therapy or other long-term treatments.

The students made the pillows in the shapes of different animals and objects. The project is meant for NWC students to learn to connect with people in the community. The class is planning to continue to do other similar projects in the future with Sacred Heart and other community services.
