The undefeated 2023 Crusader football team played their Homecoming football game at Eastern Washington University’s Roos Field on Friday, October 13th. The entire NWCS community and alumni were invited to the Homecoming game and participated in the pre-game tailgate party, sponsored by the Crusader Club and NWCS ASB! Hundreds of Crusader fans enjoyed free food grilled up for the crowd by the NWCS Board members and our Head of Schools, Roger Gerstenberger. Fans played cornhole, bought Crusader swag, and listened to music provided by the high school worship team. The Crusader volleyball team kept busy helping kids put on their game face and many alumni picked up a gift bag before finding their fellow classmates in the stands.
This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Northwest Christian’s football program. Past players, coaches, medical staff, and managers were invited to participate in a halftime ceremony celebrating Crusader football, and received a Crusader football keepsake medallion and special program! The evening was a win-win, with the Crusaders upsetting their opponents by the largest winning margin in school history of 76 points! Go Cru!
