The Fine Arts at NWCS include quality instruction in visual arts, choral, instrumental and theater education. Through the arts, each child learns discipline, empathy, creative problem solving and confidence. Because of art experiences, students are better equipped to excel in all areas of study. Each person is created to create and to bring glory to Christ with a unique and exuberant voice. High school students are encouraged to explore their creativity in the visual and performing arts, allowing them to glorify God with their talents and abilities. Opportunities to showcase their creative work occur frequently during the school year.
Theater
We believe in excellence, integrity, hard work and total enjoyment of the theatrical process. The goal of High School theater is to produce two plays per year. We do a non-musical in the Fall and a full-blown Musical Theater experience in Spring that features over 70 students of all ages! The Fall production is accomplished through the High School Theater Class curriculum. The Spring production is extra-curricular and auditions are open to all students grades 6 – 12.
