December – and 2019 – is behind us and we find ourselves already in January: the start of a new year and the end of our first semester. We had a great December, highlighted by our Christmas Concert and our BBQ drive for Union Gospel Mission. Our Christmas concert was an impressive event as the choir took on some challenging material and the band performed not only traditionally (with wind, string, and percussion instruments) but also a song consisting entirely of percussion instruments. Our students also stepped-up to help the Union Gospel Mission (UGM) by taking part in a BBQ drive, donating condiments like ketchup, mayonnaise, pickles, and mustard. According to UGM, these are typically items that they run-out of as they minister to the homeless and those in need in the Spokane area, so this was a great opportunity to bless their ministry and our community. Thank you NWC students!

For this month, we are focused on preparing for Finals and getting ready for the Holy Grail. The first Final is Friday, January 17, and the following week we will have the remaining Semester Finals for periods 2-7 (the Finals schedule should be available on our website). The Holy Grail is Friday January 31 at St. George’s; it will be an exciting event and I hope to see you there!

We cherish your prayers as we continue to seek God’s strength and wisdom in ministering to the students and community of NWC. God bless you.
